Tony Mugavero is a 4-time media tech entrepreneur, investor, and executive with multiple successful exits, and hundreds of millions of dollars in enterprise value creation. He's been a speaker at countless events in media, XR, and blockchain globally, raised $10s of millions of dollars across numerous companies, sold his first company in 2012, and co-founded one of the biggest co-working and education companies in the US which was recently acquired for $165M, Galvanize.
He is currently the Founder, CEO, and Chairman of Rad TV (fka Littlstar), a premium Web3 and AI video streaming video network on PlayStation, Smart TVs, VR and mobile, with content from innovative creators up to major movie and television studios. Some names include Complex Magazine, Whistle, New Form, Law&Crime, Warner Music, Universal Music, Sony Music, Showtime, Syfy, and more. Rad has worked with brands like Visa, NFL, Nissan, DKNY, The Olympics, Verizon, AT&T, and Google.
Alongside his full time work at Rad TV, he’s an Advisor for MyndVR, a healthcare company providing Virtual Reality solutions to long-term care facilities, home-health care providers and directly to senior consumers. He’s also on the fiduciary board of the Dallas Entrepreneur Center (DEC), and is the co-creator of the blockchain platform Ara, which is an open source decentralized system for all digital content peer to peer.
He was a co-founder and CTO at Galvanize, Inc. While there he co-founded and launched the 6-month boot camp / engineering program, the co-working space, and Galvanize Venture Fund I (now called Upslope Ventures) as a Managing Partner focusing on early-stage venture capital. He evaluated tech and media investments, raised money for Galvanize and the venture fund, spoke at events, and mentored startups on a daily basis. His work there won awards and countless features in the press. In the first 18 months at Galvanize, his efforts took the company from $0 to $500k per month recurring revenue, sold-out classes at Galvanize University with all graduates getting $60k per year jobs or better, and he helped lead multiple investments in companies like Keen.io, Dabble, Pangea Organics, and more.
Prior to building Galvanize, he was the Founder/CEO of MoovAtom in 2009, a simple API for providing cloud-based media encoding and delivery across early smart phones, which was successfully acquired in 2012. MoovAtom had clients like American Airlines, Pepsi, MEC Global, and TriNet.
He was a Co-Founder of the music discovery app Gigbeat, which was a Google Mobile World Congress Partner and AppCircus winner with over 1 Million users.
